Two unexpected visitors will be dropping into the Canada Day celebrations on Parliament Hill next weekend.
U2 frontman Bono and lead guitarist The Edge will make an appearance for the July 1 bash, says Heritage Minister Melanie Joly, who tweeted out the news on Friday.

The Irish rockers have a show scheduled that night in Cleveland, so it’s expected the pair will stop in sometime during the day.
They join an already star-studded musical lineup, that features Gordon Lightfoot, Serena Ryder, Dean Brody, and Walk Off The Earth, among many more.
