'8 Mile' director, Oscar-winning writer Curtis Hanson dies
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Curtis Hanson, who won an Oscar for the screenplay for "L.A. Confidential" and directed Eminem in the movie "8 Mile," has died at age 71.
