'Seinfeld' Coming To Streaming Means You Can Finally Get Serenity Now

You can soon get serenity now, later or whenever you feel like it.

Sony Pictures TV is reportedly "in advanced talks" to bring all 180 episodes of "Seinfeld" to online streaming, according to The Wall Street Journal. Bidders for the show include Hulu, Amazon and Yahoo, though Netflix is reportedly going to pass.

The "show about nothing" is expected to bring in a whole lot of something, with the possibility for a deal in the hundreds of millions. The show could fetch more than $500,000 per episode, which is around the price Netflix reportedly shelled out for "Friends." A deal is expected to be finalized in the next few weeks.

Numbers of that size obviously sound pretty lucrative, but it would just be a small fraction of the revenue the show has generated since it stopped making new episodes. Reports have "Seinfeld" bringing in more than $3 billion from syndication since its series finale in 1998, and that number is expected to continue to grow.
