Martin Luther King Jr. Reacts To 'Selma' Oscar Snubs In 'SNL' Cold Open

Monday marks Martin Luther King Jr. Day, so "Saturday Night Live" celebrated accordingly this week and brought the ghost of Dr. King to life.

In the "SNL" cold open, Keenan Thompson's Dr. King appears when Pete Davidson is stumped while writing a school paper about the civil rights leader. Davidson tries to explain the "progress" America has made since Dr. King, such as our country's black president and how "people are fine with" interracial couples now. But when Davidson told Dr. King that a big movie, "Selma," has recently come out about his legacy, the activist said, "I guess that one will be nominated for a lot of Oscars, right?" Davidson got quiet and shook his head over the Best Director and Best Actor snubs for "Selma" earlier this week.
