A-Sides with Jon Chattman: Grizfolk Find Their "Spark"

Sometimes you just know when a band is about to break out like Wentworth Miller in Prison Break... but that show was terrible. More to the point, one can get that sense with Grizfolk, an alt-rock quintet who gained boatloads of fans (I'm talking a lot of boats) when they opened up for UK juggernaut Bastille last fall. The tour followed the release of their awesome-sauce debut EP entitled From the Spark, which gained a lot of love from iTunes and this guy (look at me pointing to myself). Speaking of which, their song "Hymnals" was one of the best of last year. While 2014 put them on the map, 2015 seems to be the year they'll be all over that said map. It's proverbial, people.

Grizfolk just released a live EP From The Road recorded during the aforementioned sold-out Bastille tour, and will soon embark on a headlining tour that will stop in Chicago, Philadelphia, NYC, and more. The band just released a video of one of the EP tracks "Bounty on My Head," and A-Sides is stoked (still an "OK" word to use by the way) to release it to the masses and be sure to see them in a venue near you and fill the place with asses. Dates and video below. You're welcome.

2/4 - Washington, DC @ Black Cat Backstage

2/5 - Philadelphia, PA @ World Cafe Live
