New York real estate heir Robert Durst is facing a new lawsuit that claims he killed his first wife and disposed of her body in 1982.
A sister of Kathleen Durst filed a wrongful death claim Friday accusing Durst of killing the woman in their suburban New York City home.
Durst has denied involvement in the disappearance of his wife, who was declared dead two years ago.
Phone and email messages were left with his lawyer seeking comment.
An attorney for Kathleen Durst's sister declined to comment.
The lawsuit alleges there is "overwhelming evidence" Durst abused his wife before her disappearance and made "multiple admissions" to the killing.
Durst is to stand trial in Los Angeles later this year in the killing of his former confidante and spokeswoman Susan Berman.
