NEW YORK -- In her seventh Oscar nomination, Glenn Close is poised to win her first Academy Award. But if she doesn't, the 71-year-old actress says not to cry for her.
Close tells The Associated Press she doesn't want "a pity Oscar." If she loses, Close says she's decided to look at the camera and say: "I'm OK."
Close has emerged as the best-actress favourite after wins at the Golden Globes and the Screen Actors Guild Awards. But the category is competitive, with Lady Gaga and Olivia Colman also in the mix.
Close has six times before been nominated but never won.
