Celebrities react to Golden Globe nominations

Stars and other nominees react to the 74th annual Golden Globe bids announced Monday in Beverly Hills, California:

— "Thank you to the HFPA for always recognizing new and unbelievable talent regardless of color or culture. ... I feel beyond blessed and humbled to have been one of their discoveries. It's 10pm in Thailand and I think we are going out for a celebratory beer and tacos. Yup. I said tacos in Thailand, wish me luck!" — Gina Rodriguez on her nomination for "Jane the Virgin."

— "My daughter has a cold and she likes to watch movies with me. I'm probably going to be home all day with her, spending time with 'My Little Pony: Equestria Girls,'" — Billy Bob Thornton, on plans with his 12-year-old after getting word of his "Goliath" nomination.

— "Woke up to a @goldenglobes nom! And then played hide and seek with my son before breakfast! Double win!" — Justin Timberlake's tweet on being nominated for the song "Can't Stop the Feeling" from "Trolls."

— "The moment your mom captures you being nominated for your first Golden Globe. Priceless. I still can't breathe. Beyond honored, thankful, and proud. This can't be real!" — Lily Collins' Instagram post, with a photo of her covering her mouth in joyful response to her nomination for "Rules Don't Apply."

— "Bit of a day, bit of a day, bit of a day!" — "Hamilton" sensation Lin-Manuel Miranda's Twitter post, a favorite saying of his, following his nod for the song "How Far I'll Go" from "Moana."

— "The thing we were talking about earlier today is the diversity. A list like this, all the way from motion pictures to television and to streaming, this was inconceivable when I was a young actor. A brave new world, and welcome to it" — Jeffrey Tambor, nominated for "Transparent," on a movie set discussion Monday about the range of nominees.

— "My phone rang around 5 a.m. and my publicist's number came up. I thought, 'Oh my God, he's in jail. I'll have to bail him out.' But he told me I was nominated and I said, 'For what?' ..... I'm thrilled by it. I wasn't expecting it." — Nick Nolte on how he learned of his nomination for "Graves."
