Ansel Elgort took his mom to the Oscars, and she definitely wasn’t there to mingle with the stars -- mainly because she didn’t recognize most of them.
"The Fault in Our Stars" actor sat down with Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show” and revealed that his mom wasn’t familiar with many of the people at the film industry’s biggest awards show.
“She had no clue who anyone was, which was hilarious,” he said.
Ansel then described his mom meeting Bruce Willis at a party, where she was clearly unaware of the “Die Hard” actor’s fame.
“She said, ‘Oh, well what do you do? Your wife’s a model,’” Ansel said in the interview.
When Willis said he was an actor, she pulled the ultimate mom move and brought up her son.
“She said, ‘Oh, my son’s an actor. How’s it going for you?’” Ansel said.
Celebrities’ moms. They’re just like ours.
