Unlikely duo Sofia Vergara and Reese Witherspoon have teamed up to star in the action comedy “Hot Pursuit” -- and it looks like it’s going to be a wild, wise-cracking ride. In the film, Witherspoon's character, a “dorky,” somewhat bumbling police officer, has to protect Vergara who is the widow of a drug dealer, as they are pursued across Texas by villains intent on killing them.
“[Vergara’s] character is so sexy and suave, and I'm so dorky," Witherspoon told People, adding that it was difficult shooting some scenes with her co-star “because we were laughing so hard.”
The first trailer of “Hot Pursuit” premiered online Thursday, and the film will be released in theaters on May 8. Watch it the trailer above.
