Jimmy Carter Weighs In On Mike Huckabee's Beyoncé Criticism

Former President Jimmy Carter has some things to say about Beyoncé.

Well, sort of. TMZ approached Carter and asked him about former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee's criticism of President Barack Obama for letting the first daughters listen to Beyoncé's music.

"I don't agree with much that Mike Huckabee says," Carter told TMZ. "I think President Obama's doing a good job."

Huckabee has been criticizing Queen Bey lately for her "explicit moves best left for the privacy of her bedroom." In an interview with People magazine promoting his new book God, Guns, Grits, and Gravy , he questioned how Obama and his wife Michelle could encourage healthy habits while also allowing their daughters to listen to Beyoncé's music.

"I don't understand how on one hand they can be such doting parents and so careful about the intake of everything — how much broccoli they eat and where they go to school ... and yet they don't see anything that might not be suitable [in the lyrics and a Beyoncé choreography] best left for the privacy of her bedroom," Huckabee said.
